Hyderabad, October 2025 — World-renowned Bagh print artisan Shilp Guru Mohammad Yusuf Khatri, hailing from Bagh village in Dhar district, Madhya Pradesh, showcased his traditional Bagh print craft through a live demonstration in Hyderabad. The event was organized at the invitation of the prestigious Jaypore brand under the Aditya Birla Group.
The live demonstration of Bagh printing drew enthusiastic participation from Hyderabad residents. Visitors not only witnessed the intricate traditional block printing process up close but also tried their hands at printing with Bagh blocks themselves. The experience gave art lovers an opportunity to understand the richness of Indian natural dyes, cotton fabrics, and heritage designs.
The event was held at two prominent locations in Hyderabad — Inorbit Mall and Jaypore’s flagship showroom. Both venues saw a large turnout of art enthusiasts and design experts. The success of the exhibition reaffirmed the enduring appeal of India’s traditional handicrafts.
Shilp Guru Mohammad Yusuf Khatri, a Gold Medalist and recipient of several national and international honors, has dedicated his life to the promotion and preservation of Bagh print art. Over the years, he has traveled to 24 countries, taking this unique craft to the global stage and earning widespread recognition for Indian handloom artistry.
